The Winner's Circle
2022 Winner:
Pineapple Upside-down Maple Syrup
Our first ever customer-created product, Pineapple Upside Down Maple Syrup uses only natural ingredients to miraculously achieve the flavor of this beloved, classic dessert… and it’s certified organic!
With notes of caramelized pineapple, tangy cherry, and cake batter enrobed in maple, this is best enjoyed over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, pound cakes and beyond.
2023 Winner:
Salted Caramel Maple Syrup
After finishing second place in the 2022 tournament (behind our first ever crowd-sourced winner Pineapple Upside Down Maple Syrup), Salted Caramel came back to clinch the victory.
We added caramel essence (to keep it dairy-free) and just the right amount of salt to a pure Vermont maple syrup base. Though you can barely detect it, there’s also a little of our Bourbon Barrel-Aged for some backbone, plus a touch of vanilla. This is great in any application where you enjoy salted caramel: salted caramel latte, maple glazed popcorn, apple pie, ice cream, pancakes… the list goes on!
2023 Runner-Up:
Sugarmaker’s Dark Wood-fired Vermont Maple Syrup
For years we’ve had Runamok fans asking for a darker maple syrup. Runner-up in the 2023 New Flavor Contest, we’re thrilled to now offer Sugarmaker’s Dark.
This is quintessential Vermont maple syrup made the “old fashioned way.” The slow fire boil and later-season dark syrup makes for our boldest maple flavor with notes of deep caramel and coffee. The end result is a robust flavor that will take on a stack of waffles or any baked good you create and robe them in bold, maple goodness.
2024 Winner:
Vanilla Bean Infused Maple Syrup
The people voted and we delivered. Please welcome the 2024 winner of our New Flavor Contest: Organic Vanilla Bean Infused Maple Syrup.
Maple syrup absorbs the flavor of vanilla beautifully since it already has hints of it naturally in its pure form. We’ve paired up with the experts at Nielsen-Massey to source the finest whole, organic beans from Bourbon Island in Madagascar. We left the bean in the syrup so that the essence will bloom over time (though we gave it a head start). You will see little flecks of vanilla seeds along with the syrup just as you would in premium vanilla ice cream or expertly prepared pastries.
