Runamok is looking for a person who is passionate about specialty food and enjoys working with people in a sales capacity.

This Sales Representative position is a key role in helping Runamok find and acquire new customers. The position will nurture communication through outbound phone calls and emails to provide product updates, share information about special offers, and help maintain connections with our valuable customers. The SR is responsible for vetting new targets and leads, placing outbound calls to targets and leads, and converting prospective retailers to new customers. This role will play a critical part in the attainment of our annual Wholesale sales revenue goals. The role is based out of our location in Fairfax, Vt but remote work is possible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily phone calls and emails to prospects
  • Educating prospective customers on our products and why they are worth the price
  • Building a strategic and organized approach to selling
  • Maintain and update prospect information in our customer database, including notes, tasks and follow up plans 
  • Assist with lead generation and identifying new prospects to contact
  • Track sales progress to goals, including daily updates on sales made
  • Follow up on trade show leads.  Qualify leads and inquiries, tracking progress in our customer database
  • Process sample requests and capture new leads

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Prior sales experience preferred, ideally in consumer packaged goods
  • A competitive nature and desire to exceed goals
  • A passion for working with people and talking on the phone
  • An understanding for what it means to work in a small, entrepreneurial company
  • Excellent ability to convey the value and uniqueness of Runamok’s products and brand
  • A love of specialty food and cooking
  • BA or equivalent experience ideal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 1+ years customer service or sales experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods market
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • A high degree of comfort with apps, technology and using tools to maximize sales productivity
  • Strong computer/technology skills, specifically Macs, Apple programs and the Google Suite of applications
