Warehouse Associate

Runamok Maple is looking to fill an immediate opening for a full time Warehouse Associate. Located in Fairfax, VT we are a fast growing producer and distributor of pure and flavored maple syrup, maple candy, and maple cream. With distribution partners located around the country and a thriving online business we pride ourselves on delivering a high quality product with high quality service.

Warehouse Associates are responsible for: receiving, warehousing and distributing all raw-materials and finished goods; loading and unloading trucks; picking and packing orders; and maintaining physical inventory. Successful candidates will display a high attention to detail, ability to work in a fast paced environment, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a desire to achieve the highest standards of quality. Previous experience in fulfillment and maple are preferred, but we will train the right individual. Requirements:

  • Ability to walk/stand for 8-10 hours a day
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to operate a forklift (or be trained to do so)
  • Ability to work overtime during busy holiday season
  • Familiarity with shipping software platforms, ERP experience a plus
  • Solid communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to comply with the requirements of working in a food production facility.

Production Manager

We have an opening for a Production Manager at our Fairfax facility, and are looking for a candidate who can help our team manage our manufacturing operations from start to finish.

Procurement Lead

We currently have an opening for a Procurement Lead at our Fairfax facility, and are looking for the right person.    The Procurement Lead will report to the Controller and work closely with our Operations Manager and Quality Control Manager  to manage our overall inventory and material needs. The Procurement Lead position is required to comply with all Food Safety and Food Quality Standards as required by industry standards.  To be successful in this role, you will need to embrace working in a collaborative team environment, have a roll-up your sleeves attitude and be an independent thinker.

Specific Functions and Duties:

 

  • Purchase all materials from inventory to office supplies, inventory and non-inventory
  • Generate POs for items purchased
  • Track items purchased as needed to ensure proper delivery
  • Work with Operations and Sales to project future stock needs and purchase accordingly
  • Ensure returned items are adjusted properly out of inventory system  when the item is returned and ensure proper credit is received for items being returned
  • Communicate with AP person and continually follow-up with vendors when credits are expected to ensure proper credit is received
  • Ensure all POs are accurately received into the system
  • Qualify new vendors for new items as required by QA standards
  • Periodic updates from vendors on QA paperwork and documentation updates
  • Source new products for sales as needed to support customer needs
  • Inspect label orders to be sure they meet the required standards for design and content
  • Perform annual supplier reviews as required
  • Determine risk levels for all new suppliers
  • Maintain Supplier Approval Program database (required for QA)
  • Work closely with QA to determine approved suppliers and additional documentation needed for new and existing vendors
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter by nature
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize effectively
  • Strong communication skills – proper phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to work  with Apple computers
  • Ability to work with Google Suite – including Sheets, Docs, etc.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting , business management,  or a related field preferred

 

Experience:

5+ years related
