We currently have an opening for an Accounting Manager at our Fairfax facility, and are looking for the right person.  If you have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail and are a self-starter, you could be that person.

Specific Functions and Duties:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions; accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and taxes
  • Facilitate month-end closes
  • Process payroll
  • Assist with onboarding new employees
  • Help with quarterly and year-end financial reviews and audits
  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other projects as assigned
  • Administer capitalization policy
  • Monthly general ledger reconciliations
  • Assess current policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement
  • Develop staff by setting goals and  providing on-going training and support
  • Able to work closely with the Controller and owners of the company
  • A love for Maple Syrup and a passion for Vermont

 

Qualifications

Education:

Associate’s degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred or equivalent experience

 

Experience:

5+ years related 

Quickbooks, MS Office, or G-Suite

Understanding of GAAP principles

Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description:

The inventory control specialist will work under the warehouse manager and be responsible for maintaining and monitoring accuracy of physical inventory as represented in our ERP system. This role will be the primary point for entering materials received and inventory produced into our ERP as well as creating and executing product transfers. This role will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, troubleshooting inventory discrepancies and other support functions as needed. This position requires an extreme attention to detail, ability to focus in a fast paced environment, competent computer skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a GMP food safe facility
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to climb portable stairs
  • Ability to spend significant time at a computer workstation

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years of warehouse or inventory control experience preferred
  • Familiarity with typical office computer functions (familiarity with Google Suite a plus)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems preferred

 

Responsibilities:

  • Entering daily production paperwork
  • Entering daily receiving
  • Conducting cycle counts
  • Troubleshooting inventory issues
  • Addressing inventory discrepancies
  • Making stock transfers and inventory adjustments
  • Keeping SQF/GMP requirements
  • Maintain records required for food safety traceability
  • Other tasks as assigned

We have an opening for a Production Manager at our Fairfax facility, and are looking for a candidate who can help our team manage our manufacturing operations from start to finish.

  • Strong communication skills and action oriented
  • Mechanical aptitude and supported maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Computer fluency with regard to spreadsheets, email, and experience with inventory management software systems
  • Five years of manufacturing experience, with at least two years in supervision/management
