Mom lived her life in the spotlight. She loved to be the center of attention wherever she went. She reminded me of the Debbie Reynolds character from Will & Grace – publicly dancing, singing, talking to anyone and everyone. She was the star of her own musical comedy with the rest of us behind her as bit players. People either loved her or hated her and she didn’t care much which camp they fell into. Mom was larger than life and always “on”. She was a star that I miss every day of my life. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. Thank you for allowing me to share your spotlight every now and then. Cheers❤️

2oz McQueen and the Violet Fog Gin

6 Mint Leaves

6 Fresh Blackberries

1 Bar Spoon Runamok Beekeeper’s Cut Honey

1/2oz St. Germain

 

Muddle mint, berries, and honey in shaker. Add St. Germain and gin. Stir to incorporate honey well. Add ice snd shake 20 seconds. Fine strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a bouquet of flowers for Mom. Every star deserves a bouquet.
