Why This Flavor?

We ran our first crowd-sourced new flavor contest in 2022. Out of the hundreds of submissions we received, Pineapple Upside Down won by popular demand. Why this flavor? Because you asked for it!

Ingredients

Organic maple syrup, organic pineapple juice concentrate, organic cherry juice concentrate, Smoked with Pecan Wood Maple Syrup, organic vanilla bean, organic pineapple extract, sea salt.

    Runamok is a family-owned and operated specialty foods company based in Northwestern Vermont. All products are made at our facility in Fairfax, Vermont.

    We are committed to sustainability. Our maple syrup is sourced from our certified organic, certified bird friendly sugarbushes in Cambridge and Bolton (Vermont) and from family-operated sugarbushes across the state.

    Pineapple Upside-Down Maple Syrup is USDA Certified Organic, Certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union and is vegan friendly.

    Our First Crowd Sourced Flavor

    When we held our first New Flavor Contest in 2022, none of us here could have predicted that Pineapple Upside Down Cake would be the winner. Luckily, we had a secret weapon: our flavor alchemists in the Runamok test kitchen.

    Using all-natural ingredients, we created a syrup that somehow captures this iconic dessert in a bottle. It tastes of caramelized pineapple, tangy cherry, and even has an element of “cake” in the flavor profile. Underlying all of this deliciousness is the perfectly complementary base of medium-amber maple syrup. Even some pineapple doubters were won over when they tried it in our test kitchen. The metaphorical cherry on top? It’s certified organic.
