We received over 700 nomination submissions for our new flavor contest. After much deliberation, our flavor experts have narrowed it down to the top 16 contenders to battle it out head-to-head for the winner, which will become a new Runamok limited release.

THE OVERVIEW

Screen Shot 2022 03 19 at 10.56.18 AM — Round One Recap: Bacon Maple, as expected, is onto the next round; Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate Maple Syrup came out on top in a buzzer beater over Tequila Barrel Aged Maple Syrup; and Apricot Honey won by a wide margin in a truly shocking upset over S’more Maple Syrup. All in all, eight flavors are moving on to the next round.

New Flavor Contest Results 2 — Round Two Recap: Really great flavor nominations have led to some exceptionally close matches in round two of our new flavor tournament. Bacon Spice Maple Syrup, Salted Caramel Infused Maple Syrup, Pineapple Upside-Down Maple Syrup, and Earl Grey Honey are all moving on to the round of four. Thank to everyone who let us know which flavor they would like to see come out on top!

New Flavor Contest Results 3 — Round Three Recap: The results are in for the semi-final round of our new flavor contest. Bacon Spice Infused Maple and Earl Grey Infused Honey are out. Salted Caramel and Pineapple Upside Down maple syrups are on to the championships. We did not see this coming, people. It is going to be one nail-biter of a final matchup… stay tuned!

New Flavor Contest Results 4 — Round Four Recap: We have a true cinderella story on our hands here, folks. After a tight first match and barely squeaking by in the second round against Apricot Infused Honey (51% to 49%), Pineapple Upside-Down Maple Syrup has taken the cake, if you will, against Salted Caramel Infused Maple to become our new Runamok Limited Release Flavor.

From March 02 – March 10, we crowd-sourced your best suggestions for a new flavor of maple syrup, cocktail mixer, bitters, or honey. We were blown away by the response and received over 700 nominations!

Now, the flavor experts on our Research and Development team have narrowed it down to a bracket of top 16 contenders who will face off in head-to-head contests – and you get to vote for who advances to the big time. Voting tips off on March 13, and bracket rounds will advance until a final winner is announced on April 04. The winning flavor will be available for pre-order at the end of the tournament, and our flavor alchemists will get to work bringing this to life for a limited run later this year.

One lucky participant will win our grand prize – a year of Runamok maple syrup – and plenty of other sweet prizes will be awarded along the way!
