This drink incorporates our Limited Release syrup, Strawberry Rose Infused Maple. The syrup on its own makes me think of Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music, singing to the Alps with arms
outstretched. It is light and sweet with a virtuous thread of rose running through it. Add gin and lemon, however, and now I’m picturing her romantic rival, The Baroness. Forget the practical haircut of a convent girl and picture a perfectly coiffed do atop a shapely woman in a silk suit. She was gorgeous and obviously a little wicked. That’s this drink; top notes of sweetness with a sinister kick underneath. Consider the syrup her velvet voice, the lemon her quick wit and underneath it all, a devious shot of gin. She didn’t get her man in the end, but you got the feeling she was going to be just fine.

The Baroness
1oz gin (we are partial to Barr Hill)
½ oz Runamok Strawberry Rose Infused Maple Syrup
¼ oz fresh lemon juice
Ice
Lemon peel

Put the gin, Strawberry Rose Infused Maple, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker and add ice.
Shake for about 30 seconds, then strain into a martini glass. Serve with a lemon peel.
