Hachi is the Japanese word for bee; the Knotweed in our region originated from Japan. It might be an invasive species, but it makes some delicious, dark, and malty honey.

This recipe was developed in collaboration with our friends at Barr Hill by Caledonia Spirits using Runamok honeys in celebration of their annual Bee’s Knees Week. During Bee’s Knees Week, the simple act of enjoying a refreshing Barr Hill Bee’s Knees cocktail helps protect pollinators, raise awareness, and develop new pollinator habitat! Drink, share, & save the bees. Learn more and join the celebration here
