Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup

May’s Bottle of the Month has been around since the beginning of Runamok and stands as one of our most popular products to date. We take the best organic Vermont maple syrup and age it in recently emptied bourbon barrels to achieve a spectacularly boozy maple flavor that so many customers have grown to love. Applications for this product are nearly limitless, but we’ve outlined some of our favorite ways to use the product below. Once you’ve tried it in your coffee and soaked your pancakes, waffles or French toast in it, give one of these a go:

Last Month's Bottle

April’s Bottle of the Month was Sugarmaker’s Dark.

We partner with smaller sugarmakers across the state of Vermont who still produce maple syrup “the old fashioned way”, using wood to fire their evaporators. Using wood to turn sap to syrup takes longer than modern, oil-fired rigs, and the extra time over the flame brings out different characteristics in the syrup. The end result is a robust flavor that will take on a stack of waffles and robe them in bold, maple goodness.
