HOW TO SAMPLE:
There are many ways to host a sampling that works for your store and your customers. Here are some popular and effective ideas:
One-time tasting event: Choose a day – weekend’s work great – to draw attention with a dedicated tasting table in your store, then spread the word! You can serve Runamok samples by themselves or with a small bite like mini pancakes, waffles, or cheese.
Tester bottles: Keep tester bottles at the ready to provide customers a trial anytime. Maple has a long storage life so you can open a bottle and use it all season. It can be kept at room temperature during store hours (but remember to refrigerate open bottles for long term storage if you’ll be using it over the course of multiple weeks).
Tip: demo 4 SKUs or less at once to reduce customer decision fatigue.

Sampling Materials: for a simple sampling program, we recommend biodegradable tasting cups, pour spouts, and napkins or hand wipes (these items are readily available online, we have linked a few suggestions). You can also elevate your tastings by including an accompaniment such as mini pancakes (like these from Belgian Boys), waffles or french toast sticks, Cabot cheddar cheese, or ice cream. Even better if you can sample with another specialty item you carry in your store!
