This fun, Halloween-themed recipe was created for us by Bianca from her popular web and Instagram site, Lenox Bakery. The maple flavor will be subtle in the cookie part but will really shine in the glaze. You can use pure maple (we recommend our Sugarmaker’s Dark for a bolder maple flavor) or any of our infused or barrel-aged for an extra punch.

Ingredients

Maple Cookies
Maple Glaze

Instructions

  • 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 In a stand mixer, cream together the butter, sugar and light brown sugar for 2-3 minutes. Add in the eggs, maple syrup and vanilla. Mix in flour and baking soda.
  • 3 Scoop the batter into rounds the size of a ping pong ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake for about 10 minutes or until they have just started to brown at the edges. Remove from the oven to let cool.
  • 4 To make the glaze, mix together the powdered sugar, maple syrup and milk together until well combined. Drizzle the glaze over the cookies to create a mummy like pattern. Top with candy eyeballs.
