Cranberry Apple Sangria

This cranberry apple sangria recipe makes for an exceptionally festive batch cocktail, perfect for any holiday party or brunch gathering. The addition of our Holiday Spice or Festivus infused maple syrup – with notes of cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, nutmeg, and clove – adds a cozy spice to the citrusy, earthy, tart, and balanced sipper. INGREDIENTS: 

  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1/4 cup Runamok Maple Syrup (Holiday Spice, Festivus Infused, or Sugarmaker’s Cut)
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup halved fresh cranberries
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 3 star anise pods
  • 2 cups sliced small apples
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle pinot grigio, chilled

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Stir together cranberry juice, apple juice, and maple syrup in a large pitcher. Combine oranges, cranberries, rosemary, and star anise in a separate container and let sit for 30 minutes, then remove the rosemary.

In a large serving pitcher or bowl, whisk together orange mixture, apples and remaining 1 cup cranberry apple juice.

Let chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

Serve over ice with pinot grigio and garnish with star anise.
