Innovating maple with a new take on tradition…

Runamok was founded in northwestern Vermont by husband and wife team Laura and Eric Sorkin. After years of producing maple for the bulk market, they saw an opening to take maple out of the realm of tradition and innovate in ways no one had seen before with premium pure, infused, barrel-aged, and smoked maple syrups. ​

The brand launched at the 2016 Summer Fancy Food Show with a line of organic, culinary-focused varieties in elegant, eye-catching packaging. Since launch, Runamok has continued to elevate maple with new best-selling flavors, collaborations with industry leaders, and the introduction of our iconic Sparkle Syrup®.​

Sustainability and social responsibility have been at the core of Runamok’s mission from the start. We operate a USDA certified organic, bird-friendly sugarbush with best in class energy-efficient production, a solar-powered facility, and low-waste packaging. We partner with over 40 sugarmakers across the state, supporting sustainable agricultural practices and stimulating the rural economy. We believe maple is a product that works for a better environment, and the best maple comes from healthy trees.
